Marco Porello Roero Arneis

Marco Porello Roero Arneis "Camestri" DOCG

Marco Porello is a 3rd generation winemaker who took over the family vineyards in 1994. Based in the sandy hills of Roero, north-west of Alba, Marco and his family have been quietly crafting outstanding wines made from the area’s famous native grape varieties. The winery is situated in Canale, north of the town of Alba. It is also here that the vineyards for the Barbera grapes are located on southwest facing, medium density soils with a good degree of clay content which allows for excellent drainage. The Arneis and Nebbiolo vineyards are located south of Canale in Vezza d’Alba on mineral rich soils which gives the wines a rich aroma. These are extremely well-crafted wines that deliver amazing enjoyment at good prices.
