Description

Situated to the south-east of Frankfurt, the region produces white and red wines, contrary to the likes of the Mosel and the Rhine regions which are very much white wine country. With the region sheltered by the Haardt mountains to the west, the climate is very similar to that of it's southerly neighbour Alsace.

How does it taste

This medium-bodied fruity Riesling has lovely flavours of peach and stone fruit, with a hint of apricot. Nicely balanced acidity gives it a juicy grip. It is an excellent match for classic continental-style cooking, especially with dishes that feature freshwater fish, chicken and pork.
