Description

The Roy family has been rooted in the village of Fontenay-près-Chablis, on the right bank of the River Serein, for over 200 years. Their vineyards are farmed by Claude Roy, his daughter Karine and nephew David. Adnams’ Petit Chablis collaboration with Domaine Roy comes from a small single vineyard, just over one hectare of Chardonnay, planted by the family in 1986. Growing on Portlandian soils produces vivacious floral and fruity aromas. On the palate, apple and lemon flavours are backed by a pleasant acidity. Enjoy it with fish, light poultry dishes, as well as cold cuts or a charcuterie board.

So-so

Nothing remarkable about this wine. Better quality available at half the price. It is after all Chardonnay with an up market name and price tag. Not one I’d rush to buy again.
