aromas of raspberries, redcurrants and woodsmoke
Roast duck (save the fat for roasting potatoes) is a winner with this ripe, pungent, raspberry, redcurrant and woodsmoke-scented Pinot Noir. Henri Germain acquired winemaking skills at his family's Château de Chorey-les-Beaune before setting up independently in 1973. Based in Meursault, he also owns vineyards further south having wed astutely (his wife is a Pillot of Chassagne) - and an able successor in son Jean-François (now running the estate).
