Forrest Estate Pinot Gris, Marlborough

Forrest Estate Pinot Gris, Marlborough

Forrest have been crafting wines since the late 1980's in the heart of New Zealand. The first vintage was 1990 and things have only improved since then. Renowned as one of the finest producers in Marlborough, Forrest have received a number of awards and accolades over the years and we're pretty confident they'll continue to bag awards going forward. A family run business, we feel as though the team at Forrest align with the values we hold so dear here at Adnams. Grapes are grown on two distinctly different sites. The Wairau River Valley; has a gravel-rich, free-draining and devigourating soil profile, giving citrus and apple flavours, fine acidity and a fantastic minerality. The north bank of the Wairau River, where the soil is a mixture of river stones and Kaituna clay, gives a much more exotic flavour profile – orange blossom, peach, Asian pear and honeysuckle.
