Drop anchor and enjoy lazy days

Drop anchor and enjoy lazy days

This emerging style is yet to be defined, but most would agree it’s supposed to be crisp and deliciously drinkable. Head Brewer, Dan, kept the malt simple and let the hops sing. Cold SIPAs are similar to lagers and India Pale Lagers in profile, but closer to an India Pale Ale in hop character. They are fermented warmer than lagers, but not as warm as an IPA, sitting at the ‘cold’ end of ale fermentation temperatures. We’ve used a lager yeast that is comfortable doing its thing in this range. The result is a crisp beer that’s an amazing platform for hop-forward flavours, which in this case are citrus, piney, resinous, and peachy.

Description

Now in a 24 can case, our Cold Session IPA is a laid back, summery brew. Drop anchor and enjoy those long lazy days that stretch out into sundown. With hop flavours as intense as the afternoon sun, refuge can be found in mellow malts and a dry refreshing finish. Moor up – you might be some time.

How does it taste

Brewed with Cashmere, Amarillo, and Simcoe it’s a showcase for hops with a citrus, resinous and stone fruit profile, while Pale Ale malt keeps things feeling crisp and light. Experience waves of orange, sweet lemon, pine, peach, and melon. It’s great with butternut squash empanadas or a spicy crab salad.

A Summer beer that tastes good in Autumn

A delightful and refreshing chilled summer IPA with full on flavours, but can still hold its own in Autumn with those deep hoppy notes.
