Ghost Ship 0.5% Pale Ale is Inspired by tall tales of the ghostly ships that haunted the shores of Walberswick. The seeds of those stories were likely sown by smugglers in a plot to keep the coast clear. There are tales it tastes just like real beer. And that’s because it is. We didn’t want to restrict fermentation, so we brew it in the normal way – just like all our other beers; adding the lovely fruity flavours you get from a full fermentation, before smuggling the alcohol away. This allows Ghost Ship 0.5% Pale Ale to set sail full of its original characteristics.

If you’re looking to fill up the hold for Christmas or want refreshment on hand for Twixtmas, then this is the bundle for you. Our Below Decks Twin-Pack contains two cases of our best-selling low-alcohol brew, Ghost Ship 0.5%. It is no apparition; it really is a low-alcohol beer. Brewed with Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara Malts which add depth, and a blend of Citra and other American hops for that famous citrus finish. You’ll get all the flavour and aroma, but with almost all of the alcohol smuggled away.

How does it taste

Ghost Ship 0.5% Pale Ale is brewed with East Anglian Malts Pale Ale Cara Malts which add depth and those moreish, biscuity hints that we love. We also use rye grown by our chairman on his farm just up the road from the brewery, plus Citra and a blend of UK and US hops for that famed citrus finish. Enjoy whispers of aromatic elderflower, bold citrus flavours, and hints of warming rye spice.

A great low & no option!

Ghost Ship 0.5% is a great low/no alcohol ale. It doesn't have a weird aftertaste or leave you craving a regular ale. The perfect refreshing drink and the multipack bundle is a great price.

Love this beer

Twin pack was 2 separate boxes. One arrived OK, still waiting for the other . Charli at Customer Services is sorting, and I trust this one is not ‘damaged’ by the courier.
The beer however is brilliant and for me - medically banned from alcohol - is a godsend
