We love working with Bordeaux Negociant, Maison Sichel. Our favorite week in January is working with them to blend the new vintage of our Adnams Claret. At the same time we look at the rest of their extensive range of properties they represent to put together our six-bottle selection for that autumn.
This case contains:

Clos Béard 2018, AOC Saint Emilion
This wine is charming right away, by its beautiful deep sheen showing dark purples tints and by the delicacy of its aromas of red fruit on a backdrop of spices. On the palate, it feels creamy smooth with long-lasting structure given by delicious, fleshy tannins. All these qualities make Clos Béard superb! Clos Béard 2018 gives everything one would expect in a wine that comes from this exceptional terroir: elegance, delicacy and refinement.
85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc
Pauillac, 2018
The deep red colour of this cuvée sets the tone for the tasting: elegance and intensity. Beneath an spicy layer (nutmeg and toasted bread), the equally elegant bouquet unveils sustained, overripe dark and red fruit scents and earthy aromas. After a chewy attack, the ample, rounded structure unfolds, culminating in a long balanced finish. A wine that reveals all the richness of this exceptional terroir.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Marquis de Bellefont 2011
AOC Saint Emilion Grand Cru: A classic right bank Bordeaux with a bit of bottle ageing, dominated by Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc, lots of ripe, rich red fruits, velvety tannins and a long finish. A shining example of St Emilion Grand Cru's potential.
72 % Merlot, 17 % Cabernet Franc, 11 % Cabernet Sauvignon
