Every year the Adnams Community Trust supports a range of charities and good causes situated within 25 miles of our brewery and distillery. One of last year’s grant winners was the East Norfolk Sixth Form College who wanted to send a group of art students to Bulgaria to experience a new country and culture.
Working with East Norfolk Sixth Form College, we have been able to support and increase the accessibility for all students to be able to go to Bulgaria as part of a cultural exchange programme. The students visited Karpachevo in the Devetaki Plateau region of Bulgaria and worked closely with students and Professors from Sofia University to understand and further their thinking in art.
The students experienced all aspects of Bulgarian culture during their stay and used this as inspiration in their own work.
We are proud to have helped ensure that the students have experienced new cultures, different points of view and understand the importance of art and the part art plays in every culture.
